Content: A photographic journey through world-renowned Royal Deeside that aims to capture its moods and illustrate the principal landmarks and places of interest. This is a region full of iconic locations and dramatic scenery. From the source of the Dee, 4,000 ft up in the Cairngorms, through Braemar, home of the most famous Highland Games, past a string of superb castles and the Victorian charm of Ballater, the draw of Deeside never loses its appeal. Towns and villages of lower Deeside are included. The book concludes, naturally, in Aberdeen where the Dee completes its 85-mile journey to the sea. This new expanded and revised edition adds a further 16 pages bringing the total number of photographs to over 100, most of which have been taken especially for this book.
